Quick verdict

Two black resin baskets, 25 by 7.25 by 7 inches, that clip to the wall panels of Suncast resin sheds to hold gloves, sprays, hand tools, seed packets and string at eye level where they are found. Resin sheds have no studs to screw into and most owners end up with a plastic bin on the floor; these use the shed's own wall slots. They are made for Suncast sheds and fit a wide range of its models, which is the one thing to confirm.

The Shelf a Resin Shed Does Not Have

Resin sheds keep the rain out and have no studs to screw a shelf to, so the gloves, sprays and seed packets end up in a bin on the floor behind the mower. Suncast makes baskets that clip into the slots moulded into its shed walls. These are 25 inches wide, about 7 deep and 7 tall, in black resin, two to a pack.

This review is based on the maker’s specifications and on how clip-in accessories perform in resin sheds generally. We have not used these baskets ourselves.

Fitting

Hook the clips on the back of the basket into the wall slots at the height you want and press down until they seat. No screws through the panel, no tools, and the basket comes off and moves when the layout changes. Two baskets at eye level beside the door hold what gets used every visit.

What Goes In

Gloves, twine, plant labels, pruning snips, a spray bottle, seed packets in a tin, hose fittings, the tie-downs that are never where they should be. Seven inches of depth is for small things; a drill and its charger belong on the shed’s shelf kit.

Compatibility

Suncast lists which shed models take the baskets. Most of its slotted-wall sheds do; a few older or smaller models do not. Check the list against the model number on the shed before ordering.

Material

Heavy resin that does not rust, fade or crack in the heat of a closed shed. Black shows dust and wipes clean.

Who Should Buy It

  • Suncast shed owners with small items on the floor.
  • Anyone who wants the gloves by the door.
  • People adding storage without drilling resin.

Common Owner Complaints

Fit on models not on the list. Check first.

Technique Tips

Mount one basket at eye level by the door for the things grabbed on the way out, gloves and snips and the hose nozzle, and the second lower down for heavier bottles so they are not lifted over the head. Line the basket with a strip of rubber matting so small items do not rattle through the drainage gaps. Label the front edge if several people use the shed.

Care

Resin wipes clean with a damp cloth. Unclip the baskets to hose out the shed in spring and clip them back; they do not need to come off for anything else. If a clip ever cracks, Suncast sells the baskets singly, which is cheaper than a new pair.

Other Uses

The same baskets hold pool chemicals in a pool shed, cleaning sprays in a utility room and the dog’s lead and towels by the back door. Anywhere a Suncast slotted wall exists, they clip in.

Alternatives to Consider

Suncast shelf kits for heavier items. Adhesive hooks for a few light tools. A freestanding plastic shelf unit inside the shed.

Verdict

For a Suncast shed, these baskets are the shelf the walls were made to take, and they put the small things where they are found. Confirm the model and clip them in by the door.

Suncast 2-Pack Resin Shed Accessory Baskets, 25 x 7.25 x 7 Inches, Black FAQs

Will it fit my shed?

It fits the slotted wall panels on most Suncast resin sheds. Check your shed model against the Suncast compatibility list before buying.

How much weight?

Gloves, hand tools, sprays and small boxes. Not a drill and its batteries; use the shed shelf for those.

Can I use it on a wooden shed?

The clips are made for Suncast slots. On wood you would need to screw a bracket, and a plain shelf is simpler.

How do I fit it?

Hook the clips into the wall slots at the height you want and press down to seat. No tools.
