Important model correction: it is K1150 T, not K1150 TST
Kränzle’s official documentation names this hose-reel version K1150 T. It does not list a K1150 TST. The later K1152 TST is a different machine, and its “TST” name should not be retroactively applied to the older K1150 T.
This distinction changes a major buying expectation. The K1150 T manual says that releasing the trigger opens the unloader valve while the pump remains switched on and circulates water at reduced pressure. That is bypass operation, not a total-stop system that shuts down the motor. The old page’s TST and instant motor-stop claims were therefore unsupported and have been removed.
Bottom line
The K1150 T is an older, heavy 220–240V cold-water pressure washer with a 15m hose reel, adjustable operating pressure up to 130 bar and 10L/min stated water output. It can accept inlet water up to 60°C, but it has no burner and does not create hot water. Its combination of flow, pressure adjustment, hose reel, wheeled body and serviceable parts diagrams explains why long-term owners still discuss repairing rather than discarding it.
It is now primarily a used-machine decision. Buyers must confirm the exact rating plate, local electrical compatibility, hose and gun condition, stable pressure, clean oil and leak-free operation. The machine weighs 26kg and lacks modern total stop. For occasional home cleaning, a current mainstream electric washer may be simpler and cheaper; the K1150 T makes more sense for someone who values older Kränzle construction and has access to specialist parts and service.

The manual also lists a 220–240V, 60Hz K1150 T variant with different current and motor speed. Do not use a marketplace title or plug photo to infer the version: match the rating plate to your supply. The 50Hz manual calls for a grounded socket protected by a 30mA residual-current device and a 16A time-delay fuse.
What owner reports consistently like
- Useful cleaning flow: an exact-model Toyota Owners Club contributor praised the K1150 T’s flow and adjustable pressure for vehicles, using maximum pressure only with the rotary Dirtkiller on a patio.
- Long service life is possible: a motorcycle-forum owner reported being very satisfied with a K1150 T after 18 years. That is one long-term anecdote, not a population-level reliability rate, but it shows why the model remains repairable and traded used.
- Strong hard-surface performance: a pressure-washing forum owner of an older K1150 T said the rotary nozzle provided enough cleaning power for large concrete slabs and roofs.
- Adjustability and accessories: the official manual supports stepless pressure adjustment, detergent draw at low pressure, a Vario-Jet lance and a rotary Dirtkiller. Owners value this range for switching between vehicles and hard surfaces.
- Detailed service information: the official manual includes exploded diagrams, part numbers, valve and seal troubleshooting, hose/gun leak checks and oil instructions. That is more useful for an aging machine than a sealed, disposable design.
Recurring negatives, failures and disagreements
- It is not total stop: some online discussions loosely use TST terminology, but the exact K1150 T manual is decisive: the pump continues running in bypass after trigger release. Anyone expecting silence between passes should look at a documented TST model instead.
- Heavy and awkward: the manual’s 26kg weight makes it a wheeled machine, not a grab-and-go washer. Storage steps and lifting access matter.
- Commercial duty is disputed: one Kränzle UK customer used a K1150 commercially five days a week and reported pressure loss, oil in the water and leaks after five years. Kränzle UK’s response classified the K1150 as medium duty for about three to four hours per day and recommended a heavier series for that workload. That directly contradicts the old page’s unsupported “continuous duty” claim.
- Age-related repairs can be substantial: a 2025 Werkzeug-News owner documented restoring a neglected used K1150 T with milky oil and leaks, then troubleshooting pressure loss, hose/gauge vibration, valves, capacitor and seals. The report shows parts availability, but also the time and diagnostic skill a poor used example can demand.
- Electrical compatibility is restrictive: the common European K1150 T is a 220–240V machine. It is not equivalent to a normal North American 120V plug-in washer. Imported machines require the correct frequency, circuit, plug and protection.
- Specialist service may be needed: the manual allows basic nozzle, valve and O-ring checks but reserves safety-valve adjustment, electrical work and inspections for qualified people. Used prices should leave room for professional repair.
Used-buying inspection checklist
- Photograph the rating plate and confirm it says K1150 T, not K1152 TST or another visually similar model. Check voltage, frequency and order number.
- Test from cold with a water supply that can deliver at least the manual’s 10L/min requirement. A weak supply can cause fast seal wear and misleading pressure symptoms.
- Look for milky or grey oil, an incorrect oil level, water/oil mixing or external leaks. The manual says grey oil can indicate condensation and calls for an oil change.
- Confirm smooth pressure buildup, a steady gauge and a non-vibrating hose. Pulsation can point to restricted water, a dirty nozzle, sticking valves or leaks.
- Inspect the 15m hose, gun, lance threads, reel swivel and power cable. The manual treats the gauge, nozzle, valves, seals, hose and spray equipment as wear parts.
- Verify that both the Vario-Jet and Dirtkiller are present if the price assumes the original package. Test detergent draw only with an appropriate cleaner and the Vario-Jet in low-pressure mode.
- Budget for specialist inspection when service history is missing. The manual specifies an initial oil change after about 50 hours and checking the sight glass before each use.
Operation and maintenance that affect longevity
Use the washer horizontally, fully unwind the high-pressure hose, supply clean filtered water and purge air before switching on. The manual advises checking source flow by filling a bucket for one minute; the supply must meet the machine’s stated litres per minute. Keep the inlet filter clean, protect the pump from frost and never spray the machine, electrical socket, people or animals.
After use, switch off, close the water, briefly open the gun to release pressure, engage the trigger safety, disconnect and drain the pump as instructed. Store above 0°C. Do not run solvents, fuel or oil through the machine. Hot inlet water up to 60°C can make components hot enough to require gloves.

Who should buy it?
Consider a well-maintained K1150 T if you have the correct 220–240V supply, want 10L/min flow and a 15m reel, accept bypass rather than total-stop operation, and can obtain Kränzle service locally. A documented service history and a pressure/leak test matter more than cosmetic condition.
Choose a different machine if you require ordinary 120V operation, modern instant motor stop, easy lifting, a current warranty or dealer-supported plug-and-play ownership. For long commercial shifts, Kränzle UK’s archived response indicates the K1150 was considered medium duty rather than the brand’s heavier continuous-work option.
