Cold Water, Not Hot

The important correction first: the Kranzle K1150 TST is a cold-water pressure washer. Kranzle builds its hot-water machines under a separate therm line, and the K11xx TST models are all cold-water units. Calling this one a hot-water washer mixes up two different Kranzle product families.

What the TST Designation Means

Kranzle is a German manufacturer known for building prosumer and professional cold-water cleaners. In its naming, TST marks the higher-trim version of a model: it adds the Total Stop System, which shuts the motor off the instant you release the trigger to save power and reduce wear, and it includes an integrated hose reel that keeps the high-pressure line tidy. The pump uses a forged brass head with ceramic-coated pistons, a construction Kranzle carries across its range and one reason these machines are rated for continuous duty rather than short homeowner bursts. Kranzle also fits these machines with a thermal valve that releases water before it overheats during bypass, another detail aimed at all-day use.

Strengths

Build quality is the whole point of a Kranzle. The brass pump head and ceramic pistons are made to be rebuilt and to survive years of regular use, which is why detailers and tradespeople favor the brand. The TST hose reel is a genuine convenience for daily work, and the total-stop feature protects the motor and pump during the frequent pauses of real cleaning jobs. As a cold-water unit it is simpler and lower maintenance than a hot-water machine, with no burner to service. The trigger gun and lance are built to the same standard as the pump, so the whole tool feels engineered for the long term rather than the season.

Watch-Outs

Kranzle machines cost far more than big-box homeowner washers, so the value only lands if you use it often or expect to keep it for years. Being cold-water only, it will not match a hot-water machine on baked-on grease, where heat does work that pressure alone cannot. Parts and service typically come through specialist dealers rather than general retailers, so plan for that before buying. Replacement seal and valve kits are readily available, which is exactly why owners keep these units running for many years.

Who It Is For

The K1150 TST suits detailers, tradespeople, and serious property owners who clean regularly and want a rebuildable, long-life cold-water machine. If your needs are occasional patio and car washing, a mainstream electric washer will cost far less; the Kranzle earns its price only under steady use.
