What It Actually Is
The Zero-G, made by Teknor Apex, is a lightweight woven garden hose, not an expandable hose. Expandable hoses stretch to a longer length under water pressure and shrink back down when drained. The Zero-G does not do that. It stays a fixed length like a traditional hose, but it is built with a fabric-style woven jacket that makes it far lighter and more flexible than standard rubber or vinyl hoses.

The couplings are crush-resistant with female brass threads to help prevent corrosion and cross-threading at the spigot. If you specifically wanted an expandable hose that shrinks down to a small bundle, the Zero-G is not that product, because it holds its full length whether empty or full. Woven hoses can be more prone to surface abrasion if dragged over rough concrete or sharp edges, so routing matters. As with any hose, drain and store it before hard freezes to protect the couplings and core.
