Quick verdict
A glycerin-filled stainless pressure gauge reading to 6,000 PSI on a dual-scale dial, with 3/8 inch quick connect fittings so it clips inline between the pump and the hose of any washer with that connection, showing the real working pressure at the pump rather than the number on the box. A washer that seems weak may be the nozzle, the hose or the unloader, and the gauge tells which. The glycerin damps the needle so the reading holds steady while the pump pulses.
Strengths
- Reads actual pump pressure to 6,000 PSI
- Glycerin filling steadies the needle against pulsing
- Stainless case for outdoor life
- Clips inline with 3/8 inch quick connects
- Diagnoses nozzles, unloaders and worn pumps
Weaknesses
- 3/8 inch quick connect only; M22 pumps need adapters
- A diagnostic tool, not a daily accessory
- Leave it on and it takes the vibration of every job
The overall YardToolLab Score is out of 100. Section scores are out of 10.
The Number on the Box Is Not the Number at the Pump
A pressure washer that feels weak might have a worn nozzle, a tired unloader or a pump on its way out, and none of those can be told apart by feel. A gauge inline at the pump can. Raincovo’s reads to 6,000 PSI on a glycerin-damped dial in a stainless case, with 3/8 inch quick connects so it clips between the pump and the hose in seconds.
This review is based on the listing specifications and on how inline pressure gauges are used in pressure washer diagnosis generally. We have not used this gauge ourselves and the brand is a generic importer.
Reading the Washer
Clip the gauge to the pump outlet and the hose to the gauge. Start the washer, fit the nozzle normally used, pull the trigger and read. That is the working pressure. Release the trigger and read again; that is the bypass pressure the unloader holds. Note both with the washer new or known good, and the numbers become the baseline for every later complaint.
What the Readings Say
Working pressure well below the rating with a worn nozzle rises when a new nozzle is fitted: the nozzle was the problem, and it is the usual one. Low pressure with a good nozzle means the unloader is bypassing early or the pump valves are worn. Bypass pressure far above working pressure means the unloader is set too high and the pump is being punished. A gauge turns guesswork into a part number.
Glycerin and Stainless
The pump pulses and a dry gauge flickers unreadably. Glycerin damps the needle and protects the movement from vibration. Stainless keeps the case from rusting in a wet environment.
Fit
Three-eighths inch quick connects are the standard on many gas washers and on upgraded hoses. A pump with an M22 outlet takes a 22 mm to 3/8 inch adapter pair, which many owners have already fitted for quick connects.
Keep or Remove
Clip it on to diagnose and take it off for the job. Left on, it absorbs the vibration of every hour of washing and its life is shorter.
Who Should Buy It
- Anyone whose washer has lost power and wants to know why.
- Owners tuning an unloader after a pump swap.
- Small operators keeping several washers honest.
Common Owner Complaints
Fittings that do not match M22 pumps. Use adapters.
Alternatives to Consider
An M22 gauge for pumps without quick connects. A nozzle set, which fixes the most common low-pressure cause. A pump rebuild kit when the gauge says so.
Verdict
For a washer that is not what it was, a gauge at the pump says whether it is the nozzle, the unloader or the pump, and this one is damped and stainless. Record the baseline when the washer is good and clip it on when it is not.

Clip it between the pump outlet and the hose, start the washer, pull the trigger with the nozzle fitted and read the pressure. Compare with the rating. Then read it with the trigger released to see the bypass pressure.
With a worn nozzle, pressure drops; swap the nozzle and read again. With the right nozzle and still low, the unloader valve or the pump is at fault. A high bypass reading points at the unloader.
A pump pulses and a dry gauge needle flickers with it. Glycerin damps the needle so the reading is readable and the mechanism is not shaken apart.
Any washer with 3/8 inch quick connects at the pump. M22 outlets need a 22 mm to 3/8 inch adapter pair.
