Quick verdict
A brass pair of fittings that convert the M22 14 mm screw couplings on a pressure washer hose, gun and pump to 3/8 inch quick connects, so the hose clicks on and off instead of being threaded on and off every time the washer comes out. Rated to 4,500 PSI and 300 F, it suits gas and most electric washers that use the 14 mm bore. The one thing to check is the bore: M22 comes in 14 mm and 15 mm and they do not mix.
Strengths
- Replaces M22 threading with click-on 3/8 inch quick connects
- Brass construction rated to 4,500 PSI
- Male plug and female socket cover hose and gun ends
- Swivel on the M22 side eases hose twist
- Fits most gas washers and many electrics
Weaknesses
- M22 14 mm only; 15 mm bore washers need a different kit
- Adds two joints that can weep without the O-rings seated
- Quick connects pass less flow if the socket is undersized

No More Threading the Hose On
Every pressure washer session starts with threading the hose onto the pump and the gun, and ends with threading it off, usually with wet hands and a cross-threaded coupling. Quick connects end that. Heliwoo’s kit is a brass M22 14 mm swivel to 3/8 inch quick connect pair, one female socket and one male plug, so the hose clicks on and clicks off and stays coiled with the fittings in place.
This review is based on the listing specifications and on how M22 to quick connect adapters perform on consumer pressure washers generally. We have not used this kit ourselves and the brand is a generic importer.
Fitting
Screw the female socket onto the hose end and the male plug onto the gun inlet, hand tight on the M22 swivels. Pull the collar back, push the plug into the socket, release. Pressurise and check for weeps. The same pair can go at the pump end instead if that is the joint undone most often; a second kit covers both ends.
The Bore Question
M22 couplings come in two bores, 14 mm and 15 mm, and the thread is the same so the wrong one screws on and leaks. Gas washers and most electrics use 14 mm, which this kit is. Some electric washers use 15 mm. Measure the inside of the existing coupling before ordering; it is the only thing that goes wrong with these kits.
Build
Brass bodies with a swivel on the M22 side, rated to 4,500 PSI and 300 F, which covers any consumer washer and most hot water units. The O-rings are the wear item and spares are cheap. Brass takes winter storage without corroding.
Flow
A 3/8 inch quick connect has a bore large enough for the flow of a home washer, so there is no pressure loss to notice at the nozzle.
Care
Blow or shake water out of the fittings before storing in a cold garage, and a dab of silicone grease on the O-rings each spring keeps them sealing. Keep the dust caps on the open ends.
Who Should Buy It
- Anyone who threads the hose on and off every wash.
- Owners of gas washers with M22 14 mm fittings.
- People swapping between hoses and surface cleaners.
Common Owner Complaints
Ordering 14 mm for a 15 mm washer. Measure first.
Alternatives to Consider
A 15 mm kit for washers that need it. A full brass quick connect set with nozzle fittings. Stainless quick connects for hot water units.
Verdict
For a 14 mm washer, this brass pair turns the hose into a click-on part and that alone makes the washer come out more often. Measure the bore, grease the O-rings and keep the caps on.

Most gas washers and many electrics use M22 14 mm. Some electrics, including some AR Blue Clean and Sun Joe models, use 15 mm. Measure the inside of the coupling or check the manual.
The female socket screws onto the hose end at the gun and the male plug onto the gun inlet, or the pair goes at the pump end, so the hose clicks on and off.
Not with the O-rings seated and the M22 side tightened by hand. A weep at the quick connect usually means a worn O-ring, which is a cheap swap.
A 3/8 inch quick connect passes the flow of a consumer washer with no noticeable loss.
