Quick verdict
EZ-FLO's 3/4 gallon injector screws onto any outdoor tap and meters liquid or water-soluble fertiliser into every watering, whether through a drip system or a hose. Flow discs set the dose and it works on on-off systems up to 50 PSI. It turns feeding from a separate chore into something that happens every time the water runs. Fill it with the right product and the tank lasts weeks.
Strengths
- Fits any standard 3/4 inch outdoor tap or hose without tools
- Meters fertiliser into drip and hose watering alike
- Works with liquid or water-soluble fertilisers, iron, biostimulants and teas
- Flow discs set the injection rate
- Wide-mouth tank is easy to fill and rinse
Weaknesses
- Limited to on-off systems at 50 PSI or less; not for constant-pressure lines
- Dose depends on flow, so output varies between a hose and a small drip zone
- Tank must be kept out of direct sun to avoid algae in the solution

Feeding on Autopilot
Most gardens are fed in occasional heavy doses because feeding is a chore. Plants prefer small, frequent doses, which is what an injector delivers: a little concentrate drawn into every watering. EZ-FLO’s 3/4 gallon hose-bib injector is the home version of the fertigation systems commercial growers use. It screws onto any outdoor tap, feeds through a hose or a drip system, and holds enough concentrate to last weeks.
This review is based on EZ-FLO’s specifications and on how proportional hose-bib injectors work in general. We have not run this unit ourselves.
How It Works
Water flowing through the unit draws a small, proportional stream of concentrate from the tank into the water. Flow discs restrict that draw so the dose is low enough to apply at every watering without burning plants. Because the draw is proportional to flow, a hose at full blast and a small drip zone both receive the same concentration per gallon.
What You Can Feed
Any liquid or fully water-soluble fertiliser, plus iron, micronutrients, biostimulants and compost or worm teas. Owners use it for lawns through a hose-end sprinkler, for vegetable beds through drip and for containers through a watering wand. Undissolved granules clog it, so dissolve soluble fertilisers before filling.
Installation
Thread it onto the tap or inline on a hose; no tools. It belongs after a vacuum breaker, since drawing fertiliser into a line connected to the house supply is exactly the situation backflow protection exists for. Keep the tank in shade so the solution does not grow algae.
Limits
EZ-FLO rates this unit for on-off systems at 50 PSI or less, which covers taps and hose timers. Constantly pressurised lines, such as a mainline that stays charged between zones, need EZ-FLO’s other models. Dose precision is adequate for home gardens rather than laboratory exact.
Maintenance
Rinse the wide-mouth tank between products and lubricate the lid gasket once a season. That is the whole routine, and EZ-FLO sells gaskets and discs as spares.
Who Should Buy It
- Gardeners who forget to feed and want it automatic.
- Drip system owners who want fertigation without a pump.
- Container gardeners watering many pots by wand.
Common Owner Complaints
Algae in sun-exposed tanks, clogging from undissolved product and confusion over dose with different flows. Shade, dissolving and reading the disc chart address all three.
Alternatives to Consider
EZ-FLO’s larger and constant-pressure models suit bigger systems. Hose-end siphon mixers are cheaper but dose only when you hold the hose. For precise agriculture-grade dosing, a Dosatron injector costs far more.
Verdict
The EZ-FLO 3/4 gallon injector makes feeding part of watering rather than a separate job, works with drip or hose, and needs almost no care. Fit a vacuum breaker, keep it shaded and it will quietly feed a garden all season.

EZ-FLO 3/4 Gallon Hose-Bib and Drip Fertilizer Injector FAQs
Water flowing past the tank draws a small, proportional amount of concentrate into the stream. Flow discs restrict that draw so the dose stays low enough to feed with every watering.
Only if it is fully water soluble. Dissolve it first; undissolved granules clog the unit.
The injector relies on pressure cycling to draw concentrate. On a constantly pressurised line it cannot dose correctly and the manufacturer excludes that use.
Yes. Any fertiliser injector on a potable tap should have a vacuum breaker upstream, and many codes require it.
