Quick verdict
A 21-inch cordless single-stage snow blower with a brushless motor, steel auger, heated grips, handle-mounted chute levers and push-button start, sold without batteries or charger and designed to run two EGO ARC Lithium packs at once. It suits an existing EGO owner with a two-car driveway and storms up to about 8 inches. The caveat is the same as every bare tool: EGO bases its 14-car driveway figure on two 6.0 Ah packs, and if you do not own them the kit version is the honest comparison.
Strengths
- Brushless motor and steel auger for packed snow
- Heated handle grips
- Chute controlled from levers on the handle
- Push-button start, folding handle for storage
- Runs any two EGO ARC Lithium packs
Weaknesses
- Batteries and charger not included
- Rated 14-car coverage assumes two 6.0 Ah packs
- Intake height and weight are not stated in the listing
- Not self-propelled
The overall YardToolLab Score is out of 100. Section scores are out of 10.
Who this snow blower is for
EGO sells its 21-inch single-stage in more than one trim, and the SNT2130 is the one with heated grips and handle-mounted chute levers, offered here as a bare tool. That makes it a purchase for someone already on the platform: two ARC Lithium packs from a mower or blower in the garage, a two-car driveway and a sidewalk to keep open, storms that run four to eight inches, and no wish to pay for batteries a second time.
This review is based on the maker’s published specifications and on recurring owner feedback. We have not run this product ourselves.
What you get
The box holds the snow blower only. EGO lists a 21-inch clearing width, a brushless motor, a steel auger, heated handle grips, chute control levers mounted on the handle, push-button start and a handle that folds for storage. Peak Power draws from two packs at once and any EGO ARC Lithium battery is compatible. The maker quotes a throw of up to 45 feet and coverage of a 14-car driveway in 8 inches of snow using two 6.0 Ah packs, sold separately. The listing does not state the intake height, the weight or whether a headlight is fitted; the sibling SNT2122 lists 13 inches and LED lights, and it is reasonable to check the product page for the same.
Auger and throw distance
A brushless motor and a steel auger are the right pair for packed and refrozen snow, the condition that defeats rubber-paddle single-stage machines. EGO claims it handles the plow ridge at the end of the driveway, and with narrow slow bites that is a fair claim for a steel auger at this width; a knee-high berm is still two-stage work. The 45-foot throw is a maker maximum in dry cold snow. In wet snow the distance drops but the chute levers on the handle mean you can keep aiming it without stopping, which matters more in practice than the last ten feet of throw.
Runtime and batteries
The 14-car driveway figure assumes 8 inches of snow and two 6.0 Ah packs. With the 4.0 Ah or 5.0 Ah packs many EGO owners have, the session shortens in proportion, and deep wet snow draws much more energy per foot than the rated condition. Owners of cordless single-stage blowers typically keep the packs indoors until they go out and plan on well under the rated area in a heavy storm. Every pack bought for this machine works in the rest of the EGO range, so the investment is not stranded in winter.
Handling, grips and controls
This is a pushed machine, not a driven one, and a steel-auger single-stage does not self-feed the way a rubber-paddle design does. What it offers instead is control: heated grips for a long clear in deep cold, chute rotation from the handle, a push button in place of a pull cord, and a folding handle so it stands against the garage wall in April. Weight is not stated; machines of this type are generally a one-person lift onto a porch.
Living with it
No fuel, oil, plugs or carburetor. Store the batteries indoors and partially charged between storms, check the scraper bar each season, clear packed snow from the chute before it freezes, and rinse salt from the housing in spring. Check EGO’s current warranty for the tool and the packs separately.
Alternatives to Consider
The EGO Power+ SNT2122 kit is the same 21-inch platform with two 4.0 Ah packs and a charger included, the right buy if you own no batteries. The Toro 60V Power Clear e21 is the cordless single-stage rival for Toro battery owners. If your storms are deep and frequent, the EGO SNT2405 two-stage runs on the same packs.
Verdict
Buy the EGO Power+ SNT2130 bare tool if you already own two mid-size or large EGO packs and want the heated grips and handle chute controls on a 21-inch single-stage. Skip it if you have no EGO batteries, where the SNT2122 kit is cheaper all in, or if your driveway and snowfall call for a two-stage.

EGO Power+ SNT2130 21-Inch Single-Stage Snow Blower with Heated Grips, Battery and Charger Not Included FAQs
Any two EGO 56V ARC Lithium packs. EGO recommends two 6.0 Ah packs and bases its 14-car driveway figure on them; a pair of 4.0 Ah or 5.0 Ah packs will work for a shorter session. Use two of the same size.
The listing does not state it. EGO's 21-inch single-stage machines are typically rated around 13 inches of intake, with about 8 inches as the comfortable working depth; confirm on the product page.
They draw a small amount of power from the packs to warm the handle surfaces. The effect on runtime is minor compared with the auger load, and owners of heated-grip snow blowers rarely turn them off.
EGO says so, and a steel auger with a brushless motor is the right combination for it. Take the ridge in slow, narrow bites; a single-stage will not eat a knee-high compacted berm in one pass.
