What It Is
A rigid perforated plastic basket shaped to the skimmer body, sitting on rails behind the weir opening. The rigidity matters: a full basket of wet leaves is heavy and a flimsy basket folds on the way out.
What It Is Not
The listing is clear that the weir door and the slide plate that attaches the weir to the basket are not included. Transfer them from the old basket. If the old basket is lost entirely, the weir and plate are separate Aquascape parts.
Replacing It
Switch the pump off, lift the skimmer lid, remove the old basket with the weir attached, unclip the weir and slide plate, fit them to the new basket and drop it onto the rails. Check the weir swings freely and the basket sits flat. Restart the pump and watch the weir float level. Ten minutes.

A cracked basket lets debris round the side into the pump chamber, where it clogs the pump intake and the filter mat. The pump works harder, the flow drops and the waterfall thins. A new basket is cheap against a pump.
