About Star Tree Farm
Star Tree Farm is a locally run garden center and plant nursery in Meridian, Michigan, found at 1822 Willoughby Road. It is a practical local stop for Meridian gardeners who would rather get plants and know-how from people nearby than from a national chain.
What you will find
The store generally stocks annuals and perennials, trees and shrubs, native and drought-tolerant plants, succulents and houseplants, plus the soil, compost, containers, seeds and hand tools that go with them, with the mix rotating by season.
Growing conditions in Meridian
The Midwest climate here is continental (often USDA zones 4 to 6) with hot, humid summers and cold, snowy winters, so timing and hardiness matter. That makes a nearby store genuinely useful, because its stock leans toward hardy perennials, sweet corn and tomatoes, spring and fall vegetables, and cold-tolerant trees and shrubs that actually do well here. It is worth asking staff about right-plant, right-place choices for your specific spot, soil and sun.
