About McKenney Supply
McKenney Supply is an independent hardware store in Searcy, Arkansas, at 106 East Pleasure Avenue. It is open Monday to Friday from 7 am to 5 pm. For gardeners in and around Searcy it is a local, staffed alternative to the big-box aisles, the kind of place where you can see plants in person and get advice suited to your own yard.
Gardening in Searcy
The humid subtropical South here has long, hot, humid summers and short, mild winters (broadly USDA zones 7 to 9), a climate that keeps things growing much of the year. That makes a nearby store genuinely useful, because its stock leans toward azaleas and camellias, crape myrtle, warm-season vegetables, citrus in the warmer counties and heat-loving perennials that actually do well here. It is worth asking staff about right-plant, right-place choices for your specific spot, soil and sun.
What the store stocks
As a hardware store, the range usually covers tools and fasteners, paint and plumbing and electrical supplies, and a garden section with soil, plants, hoses, fertiliser and outdoor-power basics. Selection is seasonal, so it shifts through the year with whatever is planting and growing best.
